About Me

Hi, my name is Günışığı.

I’m a Frontend Developer based in Berlin, building web applications with JavaScript, React, Vue, Web Components, TypeScript, SCSS, and Node.js.

I have an IHK Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Middle East Technical University, Türkiye’s leading university. I’ve studied and worked in German, English, Turkish, and French, which makes me fluent in both code and cross-cultural confusion. After all these languages, I figured I’d give machine languages a try—turns out, they’re easier to debug.

Originally from Istanbul and raised in the beautiful coastal town of Fethiye, I spent years moving between 10 cities across 6 countries, working in Academia, Linguistics, Cinema, and Performing Arts before I traded scripts for scripts—the kind that actually compile.

Since 2019, I’ve been developing web applications in Germany, working first in a structured, mid-sized company and now in a small startup. Alongside frontend development, I’ve handled backlog management, product coordination, and cross-team collaboration, navigating everything from corporate processes to startup chaos—and occasionally being the only developer on a project.

I like building things that work well, look good, and make sense. And like every developer, I’ve also broken things—usually while trying to fix something else.

📍 Always curious, open for new challenges.
