About Me

Hi, my name is Günışığı.

I am a multilingual and multidisciplinary Software Developer holding Germany's official IHK-Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from Middle East Technical University.

I was born in Istanbul and grew up in a Mediterranean town named Fethiye, located at the southwest coast of Turkey.

I have studied and worked in 4 languages including English and German. After working in 6 countries, residing in 10 cities, and having professional experience in the fields of Academy, Linguistics, Cinema, and Performing Arts, I settled in Berlin in 2017. And there I was luckily introduced to coding and discovered my passion for it.

To pursue a career in Programming, I enrolled in the dual vocational german education program in Computer Science after attending 5 months of German course. My German skills have become advanced together with my IT skills during this Ausbildung that also included a long internship at a German Company.

I currently work as a Frontend Web Developer at IAB Digital Business Solutions GmbH.

JavaScript, Node.js & Vue.js are my actual weapons of choice.
